Terms of Sale and License

These terms govern the free download, paid Pro license and use of the Log Beaver desktop app and website.

1. Seller

The seller and licensor is Anthony Deniau, reachable at www.heyfox.io@gmail.com . Additional publisher details are listed on the Legal Notice page.

2. Product

Log Beaver is a desktop application for opening and analyzing log files locally. The free tier currently includes 5 unique files and base features. The Pro offer unlocks additional capabilities such as tail mode, pipe mode, multi-file merge and ANSI color support.

3. Trial

• The free tier has no time limit unless stated otherwise on the website.
• The free tier is feature-limited and file-limited as shown on the purchase page.
• The free download may be delivered through Lemon Squeezy’s lead magnet flow by email.

4. Pricing, taxes and merchant of record

• The price displayed at checkout is the price that applies to your order.
• Lemon Squeezy processes checkout, billing, sales tax or VAT collection and payment handling as merchant of record.

5. Delivery

The software is delivered digitally. Access can be provided immediately after checkout or by email through the Lemon Squeezy delivery flow. You are responsible for using a compatible system and for downloading the delivered files before any temporary delivery link expires.

6. License grant

• Subject to payment of the applicable price, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the software under these terms.
• The license covers the use cases and activation scope shown at checkout or enforced by the license provider. Do not assume unlimited activations unless that is explicitly stated at purchase time.
• You may not resell, sublicense, redistribute or reverse engineer the software except where applicable law prohibits such a restriction.

7. License activation and validation

• Pro activation requires a valid Lemon Squeezy license key.
• Activation sends your license key and machine name to Lemon Squeezy. Periodic validation can occur later to confirm that the license remains valid, including after refunds or revocations.
• Log file contents are processed locally and are not intentionally sent to our servers for activation or validation.

8. Updates

Unless a different duration is stated on the order page, Pro includes 12 months of updates released after purchase. Access to future products, major rewrites or services not listed on the purchase page is not included by default.

9. Right of withdrawal for EU consumers

If you are a consumer located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you may normally benefit from a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts. For digital content supplied immediately, this right can be lost once performance begins if you expressly consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge the loss of the withdrawal right. If such consent is not collected at checkout, your statutory rights continue to apply.

10. Voluntary refund policy

In addition to any statutory rights you may have, Log Beaver offers a 30-day money-back guarantee for Pro purchases, counted from the order date, provided the request is made in good faith and references the relevant order. Refund handling may be completed through Lemon Squeezy.

11. Statutory guarantees

Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory rights that cannot legally be waived, including the legal guarantee of conformity and any applicable protection for digital goods or digital services under consumer law.

12. Acceptable use

• Do not use the software in a way that violates applicable law.
• Do not attempt to bypass technical restrictions or abuse the licensing system.
• You remain responsible for the contents of the log files you open and for your own backup and security practices.

13. Liability

The software is provided for professional and technical use cases. Except where prohibited by law, we are not liable for indirect damage, loss of profits, loss of business or loss of data arising from use of the software. Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

14. Support

Support requests can be sent to www.heyfox.io@gmail.com . Response times are not guaranteed unless separately agreed in writing.

15. Consumer mediation

If a dispute cannot be resolved directly, eligible consumers may contact the mediator listed on the Legal Notice page.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the mandatory rules applicable to the seller and the consumer. If you are a consumer, you retain the mandatory protections granted by the law of your habitual residence where applicable.
